General Description

Mistake Proofing is part of the Zero Loss and Zero Defect approach to ensure that assembly of parts or provision of services are always error-free to achieve 100% correctness. This reduces rework and losses due to rejects.

Detailed Description

The participants will learn the theory behind all mistake-proofing systems and be introduced to many diverse applications of mistake-proofing devices. Mistake-proofing starts with good organization structure, a viable system conforming to rules and regulations, good skills and practice, good visual controls and use of mistake-proofing devices to detect out-of-place parts, assembly and operating methods and services.
