Water & Wastewater Treatment
We rely on modern methods of water and wastewater treatment to help prevent disease and to preserve our environment. TPC’s Water and Wastewater Treatment training series concentrates on water treatment in municipal plants. Course topics include: an introduction to water technology, maintaining equipment used in wastewater treatment, and the process for treating wastewater. These courses are most useful to those who are interested in water treatment on the community level.
Unit 381: Introduction to Water Technology ($100)
Covers the nature, use, and properties of water. The course traces the history of water treatment methods from ancient times to today’s sophisticated systems. The effects of chemical and biological factors on the purity of water are explained.
Lesson 1 – Water: The Basic Resource
